BHEL provides scholarships for students

BHEL Tiruchi provides scholarships to deserving young and bright students for pursuing class X, XI & XII, diploma, ITI and engineering courses in colleges.

Preference will be given to children living below poverty line, backward classes, children of widows and physically challenged persons.

The last date to receive the filled-in application is November 10, 2012.

19-வது சபாநாயகராகரானார் தனபால்.. ஓ.பி- பண்ருட்டி ராமச்சந்திரன் இருக்கையில் அமர வைத்தனர்!!

சென்னை: தமிழக சட்டசபை சபாநாயகரைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்க இன்று காலை தேர்தல் நடைபெற்றது. அதிமுக சார்பில் நிறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ள பி.தனபால் போட்டியின்றியும், ஒருமனதாகவும் தமிழக சட்டசபையில் 19வது சபாநாயகராக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டார்.
சபாநாயகராக இருந்து வந்த ஜெயக்குமார் செப்டம்பர் 29ம் தேதி தனது பதவியை ராஜினாமா செய்தார். இதையடுத்து தற்போதைய துணை சபாநாயகர் தனபால் சபாநாயகர் பதவிக்கு நிறுத்தப்படுவதாக அதிமுக பொதுச் செயலாளரும், முதல்வருமான ஜெயலலிதா அறிவித்தார். ராசிபுரம் தொகுதியிலிருந்து சட்டசபைக்குத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டவர் தனபால்.
தாழ்த்தப்பட்ட சமுதாயத்தில் அருந்ததியர் சமுதாயத்தைச் சேர்ந்த இவர், விவசாயக் குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்தவர். 1951 மே 16ம் தேதி சேலம் மாவட்டம் கருப்பூரில் பிறந்தவர். எம்.ஏ. பட்டதாரியான இவருக்கு கலைச் செல்வி என்ற மனைவியும், லோகேஷ் என்கிற மகனும், திவ்யா என்ற மகளும் உள்ளனர்.
அதிமுக தொடங்கிய போது 1977ம் ஆண்டு நடந்த தேர்தலில் சங்ககிரி தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட்டு வெற்றி பெற்றார். அதைத் தொடர்ந்து, 1980, 1984, 2001ம் ஆண்டு தேர்தல்களில் சங்ககிரி தொகுதியில் வென்றார்.
2001ம் ஆண்டு அதிமுக ஆட்சியில் உணவு மற்றும் கூட்டுறவுத் துறை அமைச்சராக இருந்தார். கடந்த சட்டப் பேரவைத் தேர்தலில் ராசிபுரம் தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட்டு வெற்றி பெற்று, பேரவை துணைத் தலைவரானார். இப்போது சபாநாயராக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
இம்முறை சபாநாயகர் தேர்தலில் போட்டியிட தனபால் மட்டுமே மனு செய்திருந்தார்.
இந் நிலையில் சபாநாயகர் தேர்தலை நடத்துவதற்காக தற்காலிக சபாநாயகராக செ.கு.தமிழரசன் நியமிக்கப்பட்டார். இன்று காலை சட்டசபையின் சிறப்புக் கூட்டம் 10 மணிக்குக் கூட்டப்பட்டது. அப்போது தற்காலிக சபாநாயகர் செ.கு.தமிழரசன், புதிய சபாநாயகராக தனபால் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதை சபையில் அறிவித்தார்.
அதைத் தொடர்ந்து சபாநாயகரை அவரது இருக்கையில், அவை முன்னவரான நிதியமைச்சர் ஓ.பன்னீர் செல்வமும், எதிர்க்கட்சித் துணைத் தலைவரான தேமுதிகவின் பண்ருட்டி ராமச்சந்திரன்ம் சேர்ந்து அமர வைத்தனர்.
அவை முன்னவரான பன்னீர்செல்வமும் எதிர்க்கட்சித் தலைவருமான விஜயகாந்த்தும் தான் இதைச் செய்திருக்க வேண்டும். ஆனால், விஜய்காந்த் சட்டசபைக்கு வரவில்லை.
எனவே அவருக்குப் பதில் பண்ருட்டி ராமச்சந்திரன் இந்தப் பணியை செய்தார்.
இதைத் தொடர்ந்து புதிய சபாநாயகரை வாழ்த்தி முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதா உள்பட உறுப்பினர்கள் பேசினர். தொடர்ந்து புதிய சபாநாயகர் ஏற்புரை நிகழ்த்துவதோடு அவை நடவடிக்கைகள் முடிவடைகின்றன.
