Dubai: EIFF Intervention Helps Youth to Claim Compensation |
Daijiworld Media Network - Dubai Dubai, Jun 12: Abdul Rahman Kemmara, a 29-year-old youth from Uppinangadi, working in Dubai, finally received the claim of AED 160,000 as accident compensation. On May 29 2011, Abdul Rehman was walking through the streets of Deira near Murshid bazaar when a piece of concrete slab suddenly fell over his head from an old un-maintained building. He was seriously injured and rushed to Rashid Hospital in unconscious condition, operated and kept in ICU for three days. On being discharged from the hospital, Abdul Rehman was instructed by the doctors to take complete bed rest for three months. Though case had been registered at Naif police station, action against the real estate company on claiming insurance was not taken. Later Rehman contacted EIFF for help and after studying the entire case thoroughly, EIFF initiated to help him with the efforts of dedicated volunteers and a well known lawyer.
The efforts came into practical shape when finally the
EIFF team succeeded to negotiate with the insurance company in releasing
the amount of AED 160, 000 as compensation which was highly appreciated
by Abdul Rehman, his family and the community.
